Personal:

Before SJU, I spent the last two seasons playing primarily for the Minnesota Magicians (NAHL). I chose to play junior hockey for the intent to extend my playing career at the highest level possible and earn an NCAA commitment. Throughout the recruitment process, SJU did not appear on my radar until around Easter time and then when I ultimately committed in the spring of 2021. The factor that turned the tide for me and SJU was after I visited, for I was able to literally see myself as a student there. Additionally, the sense of community, relativity to home, Benedictine values, and networking opportunities at SJU are what appealed to me.

Currently, I am a Global Business Leadership major with a minor in accounting. However, I plan to change my minor to either Spanish or Economics. While I am unsure exactly which career path I want to pursue following my studies, I know I want to do something within the business umbrella since I was exposed to the field at an early age by my father who is a retired financial advisor. I always tell people that I want to wear a suit to work. My dream job is to become a CEO or CFO of a successful company. With that being said, I ultimately want to have a job that I enjoy going to every day so that I feel as though I never have to work a day in my life.

Besides hockey, I play intramural pickleball at SJU. I picked up the game from my aunt at my cabin a few summers ago and have played it ever since. Outside of SJU, I enjoy participating in any outdoor activity. I love to spend time at my cabin and wake surf, jet ski, paddle board, and play card games. At home, I like to golf, play basketball, and play ping pong. In high school, I played varsity table tennis my freshman year.

I also play in a recreational soccer league with my sister and two friends.

After SJU, I will consider getting my master’s degree unless a job opportunity emerges that I cannot pass up. While I am not opposed to travelling early on in my career, I eventually want to settle down and raise a family in Minnesota near the rest of my family. SJU is a perfect fit because many of the students and alumni are Minnesota locals, which keeps me near them as well.
