I am currently a sophomore at Saint John’s University. I grew up in Hermantown, Minnesota and began playing hockey in Hermantown’s youth hockey program. I continued to play hockey for Hermantown High School and was granted the opportunity to play in three MSHSL state championship games. After graduating from Hermantown High School in 2015, I was able to play for the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in the North American Hockey League for two seasons. The highlight of my two years in Fairbanks was winning a national championship and setting a record for the most wins in a single season.

I was attracted to St. John’s because of its high academic standing and student culture. I am very happy with the decision I made to attend SJU, and I have already had a great experience in my first year. I am double majoring in accounting and economics at St. John’s, which reflects my interest in finance. My favorite class has been accounting with Professor Bell. I enjoy this class because of the real world applications that Professor Bell uses in lecture. After graduating from SJU, I hope to become a financial advisor and stay as close to the game of hockey for as long as I can.
