Hometown: Hamel, Minn.
Last Team: Minnesota Magicians (NAHL)
This is my first year attending St John’s University. I was raised in Cleveland, Ohio and I moved to Wayzata, Minnesota when I was sixteen and have lived there since. Before juniors I played for the Geauga Maple Leafs, Cleveland Barons, Wayzata High School and Honeybaked. I started playing hockey because when I lived in Ohio, when I was very young, the mascot for the Columbus Blue Jackets, Stinger, came to my pre school. After that, I went home and told my dad that I wanted to play. I played goalie until I was ten years old and then my dad told me it was more fun to score goals so I switched to being a forward. This progressed to eventually playing junior hockey for the Minnesota Magicians in the NAHL. I was there for two years and loved it. I finished my career being a captain my second year and being the all time playoff points leader. Saint John’s was a school that I knew I wanted to go to right away because I loved the school and the coaching staff.
I am majoring in Global Business. Business has always been something that I knew I wanted to do when I was older and I want to be involved in a company that I can give back to the game of hockey. Whether that is selling sticks or sports drinks I just know that I want to be involved in hockey in my business.
