I am a sophomore at St John’s University this year. I was born in Hugo, MN and raised in White Bear Lake, MN. Growing up, I played association hockey in White Bear Lake and went on to play three years of varsity hockey. After my senior year of high school, I was drafted to the Minot Minotauros in the NAHL. I extended my hockey career by playing in Minot for three years (2014-2017). Coach Schueller gave off a very competitive and compassionate feel about the athletics and academics when talking to him. After my final season in Minot, I came to visit St. Johns. I was immediately drawn to the campus thanks to the guys that showed me around. I ultimately chose to come to St. Johns because of the strong academic program and because of the potential the hockey team looked to have in the next four years.
I am currently planning to double major in economics and communication. I find the real-world topics in economics to be very interesting. I also find communication to be very important in the world we live in today. The classes hear have a great atmosphere and are very motivating to learn more.
I am very thankful for everything my parents have done for me throughout my hockey career. I also have been very blessed with the coaches that have formed me into the player I am today.
