This is my second year attending St. John’s University. I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. I was brought to my first hockey game when I was only a couple months old, getting to watch the Kansas City Blades (IHl). Growing up I fell in love with the game. I started organized hockey at 4 years old. I played hockey in Kansas City up until my Sophomore year of high school. I then moved to Omaha, Nebraska to play AAA for the prestigious Omaha AAA program. After that year, I started my junior hockey career in the MNJHL for the Steele County Blades. I was fortunate enough to play tier 2 in the SIJHL, for the MN Iron Rangers. I spent 2 years in Hoyt Lakes, MN and was named captain during my second year with the program. I decided to move back to tier 3 in the states to get more looks and opportunity from D3 schools. I spent my last year of eligibility in Juniors with the Breezy Point North Stars in the NA3HL, where I was also named team captain. I talked to St. Johns throughout the year and was brought to visit the campus a couple of times, I decided that I loved the campus and the highly sought of education you can receive. I decided that this would be my best opportunity to continue playing hockey at a high competitive level and I couldn’t be happier of my choice to become a Johnnie.
I am currently majoring in Physics. Throughout juniors I developed a passion for science. I read a couple of Niko Tesla books in juniors and it really raised my interest in the subject. I also have a passion for space and would eventually like to work for NASA or a space company when I graduate from St. Johns.
