2017-18: Played eight games for SJU and recorded an assist Nov. 18 vs. St. Olaf.

This is my second year attending St. Johns University. I was born and raised in Kasson-Mantorville. I played high-school hockey for the Dodge County Wildcats, until my senior year when I moved to Missouri to play AAA for the Kansas City Mavs Elite. My dad played hockey growing up so that’s where my love for the game originates. I started playing ice hockey when I was three years old and my passion has never faded for the game. After I played for the Kansas City Mavs Elite I had quite the Junior hockey experience moving around the NAHL. I affiliated with the Kenia River Brown bears during my last year of AAA for the Mavs elite where I played two games. For the start of the 2015-16 year I tendered with the Austin Bruins, then after training camp , I was traded to the Kenai River Brown Bears where I finished out the 15-16 hockey season. At the start of the 2016-17 season I was traded back to the Austin bruins where I played half of the season until I, unfortunately, sustained a season-ending shoulder injury that required surgery. After surgery, I started to look for options to further my education while still playing NCAA hockey. I talked and visited many schools; however, not one of them came close to how much I loved St. Johns. I ultimately made my decision to come play for St. Johns because of the outstanding academic reputation and the level of competitiveness of the hockey team was a perfect fit. Currently, I am a nursing major, and my favorite class I have taken so far is biology 101 because I am fascinated with how life works all the down to the cellular level. Upon graduation from CSB/SJU in 2021, I plan on going to CRNA school to become a nurse anesthetist. My goal is to be able to work as a RN at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester before I go to CRNA school and be able to work and live in my home state of Minnesota.
