The path that led me to Saint Johns started with the love of hockey. Since I was a kid, I have always wanted to play college hockey. In high school, I was lucky enough to play with two players who went on to play college hockey so I knew how hard I had to work and some of the things I had to do. So that is why I went on to play two years of juniors, one year at the Twin City Steel and one year at the Minnesota Magicians, and I met some of my best friends and learned so many life lessons I wouldn't have been taught going straight to college out of high school. Another thing that was very important was my academics because you can't play college hockey if you can't even get into college, so my grades were a priority. A huge influence for me to come to SJU was my high school hockey coach who attended SJU. He got me in touch with the hockey program here and got me interested in the school. I knew it was a great school and a great education was what I wanted so my interests in SJU were high.

My academic interests are in business or economics. I am undecided on my official major, but I have it narrowed down. I have always been good at selling things so that is why I am interested in business and after my first semester of college the class of economics interested me also. My favorite professor is Martin Connell who was my FYS teacher.

My future goals are to get a good job out of college that gives me the opportunity to advance through the company. I want to live in the northern suburbs so that I can be away from the big city scene but not too far at the same time. I love to hunt, fish, and be outdoors so my ideal home would be on a lake or have some land. My dream job would be to own my own business one day and be able to work my hours and have my schedule.
